Terms of Service
Vigil AI Security, Inc. · Effective April 4, 2026
1. Subscription Plans
Vigil offers three paid tiers:
- Guardian — $8.25/month
- Fortress — $15.75/month
- Citadel — $26/month
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We offer a 14-day refund window on initial purchases.
2. Acceptable Use
- You may only monitor your own AI interactions.
- You may not monitor another person's interactions without their explicit consent.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of Vigil.
- You may not use Vigil to disrupt or interfere with AI provider services.
3. TLS Interception Disclosure
Vigil operates a local HTTPS proxy that requires installation of a local Certificate Authority (CA) certificate on your device. This proxy intercepts TLS traffic to AI provider domains only (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral) for the purpose of analyzing AI interactions locally on your device.
Vigil explicitly bypasses Apple PKI endpoints, system services, and non-AI-provider traffic. Intercepted data never leaves your device.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
Vigil is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that Vigil will detect all AI threats, anomalies, or unauthorized actions. DOM selectors used by the Chrome extension may require updates as AI providers change their interfaces.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vigil AI Security, Inc.'s total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of Vigil shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
6. Third-Party Services
Vigil is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Mistral. These names are used solely to identify the AI services that Vigil monitors on your behalf.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
